This week I'm going to write
about a recent New York Times article by Cathy Horyn. In "Two Rebels, One
on Pause," Cathy writes about two fashion collections that were presented
to the public during fashion week. Unfortunatley these two unique collections
had two completely different reactions. Commes des Garçons and Jean Paul
Gaultier's collections for fall 2013 had outrageous silhouettes. Commes des
Garcons collection was appealing to the public when unfortunatley Jean Paul
Gaultier's collection did not meet that expectation.
After reading this article I decided to examine the language used throughout the piece.

ReplyDeleteThere were lots of outerwears showing big silhouettes on the runway of Fall 2013. Fur, heavy fabrics, and texture are what designers look into right now.
