Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2013 show had a uniqueness to it. While viewing other shows for the
season, none of it excited or interested me as much as Louis Vuitton. The
escalators coming out of the sky symbolized some sort of heaven the models were
coming down from. The graphics such as the mesh checkers and hand woven
sequence were so simple but yet so innovative for the season. Marc Jacobs also
paired the models up to have a twin like presentation of the clothing. He
believed that pairing the models added a perversion to the show, making his
line stand out from all the others.

Key Color Trends for Spring/Summer '14 #5
Color is a large part of the fashion world.
When I enter a store the first thing I notice are the colors. I search for the
most eye-catching hue that would compliment me the most. So just preparing us
for the future I'm going to list one of the many key color trends for
spring/summer 2014.
While wondering
through an extremely useful and interesting fashion-forecasting site called
Fashion Snoops, I fell upon a key color trend called 70's Miami.
There are various
warm colors which range from a mustard yellow, various pinks, red and orange.
As for cool colors they have two different blues, a green yellow, and two
greens. Then finally they have one basic neutral which is black.
These many colors
have various shades and tints making them stand out from other expected trends.
The bright blues, mustard yellows and deep pinks bring us willingly back to the
70's living the Miami lifestyle.

Two Rebels, One on Pause #4
This week I'm going to write
about a recent New York Times article by Cathy Horyn. In "Two Rebels, One
on Pause," Cathy writes about two fashion collections that were presented
to the public during fashion week. Unfortunatley these two unique collections
had two completely different reactions. Commes des Garçons and Jean Paul
Gaultier's collections for fall 2013 had outrageous silhouettes. Commes des
Garcons collection was appealing to the public when unfortunatley Jean Paul
Gaultier's collection did not meet that expectation.
After reading this article I decided to examine the language used throughout the piece.
